Terms of Service
Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms of Service set out the conditions for using Listen, Experience and other communication-related services provided by 3rdPlace Tokyo (the “Service”). Clients shall use the Service after agreeing to these Terms.
Article 2 — Description of the Service
1. The Service is a private concierge service for the following purposes:
① Listen: conversation and attentive listening.
② Designing and proposing experiences based on what is discussed during Listen.
③ Joining clients at cafés, restaurants, hotel lounges and similar venues.
④ Accompanying clients on walks, shopping trips, visits to museums, events, dancing, sightseeing and similar activities.
⑤ Other Experience activities mutually agreed upon in light of the client's wishes.
2. The Service does not provide dating, simulated romantic relationships, marriage consultation, physical contact, medical treatment, counselling or sexual services.
Article 3 — Eligibility
1. Generally for guests aged 30 and over. Guests under 30 may contact us in advance; eligibility will be considered individually. We do not accept applications from minors. At the first session, identity will be verified using a government-issued photo ID. As a general rule, the ID will be checked visually only and will not be photographed or copied.
2. We may decline service to anyone who falls within any of the following categories:
① Anyone associated with organised crime groups or other antisocial forces.
② Anyone who behaves or speaks violently or in an intimidating manner.
③ Anyone who is excessively intoxicated.
④ Anyone who violates the prohibitions in the following Article.
⑤ Anyone else we consider unsuitable for the Service.
Article 4 — Prohibited Conduct
1. Clients must not engage in any of the following:
① Requesting physical contact.
② Sexual remarks or requests, or other conduct for sexual purposes.
③ Customer harassment or other conduct that undermines the service provider's psychological safety.
④ Stalking.
⑤ Collecting personal information without permission.
⑥ Lying in wait or visiting the service provider's home or workplace.
⑦ Covert photography or filming, eavesdropping, or recording without permission.
⑧ Illegal conduct or conduct contrary to public order and morals.
⑨ Posting on social media or elsewhere without permission.
⑩ Conduct that departs from the arrangements stated when applying for the Service.
2. If any prohibited conduct listed above is confirmed, the Service will end immediately without any refund, and future use will be refused.
Article 5 — Fees and Payment
1. The fee for the Service is the amount quoted in advance by 3rdPlace Tokyo, including tax and excluding out-of-pocket expenses, based on the purpose, duration and other application details provided in advance under the following Article. The base fee is ¥5,000 for a 90-minute Listen session, and Experience starts at ¥20,000 for three hours.
2. Fees must be paid in advance by bank transfer or another method specified by 3rdPlace Tokyo. The Service will not be provided if payment cannot be confirmed by the specified deadline. Bank transfer fees are payable by the client.
3. Travel expenses, food and drinks, admission fees, ticket costs and other out-of-pocket expenses are allocated as follows:
① For Listen, 3rdPlace Tokyo's travel expenses are included in the service fee. The client pays for food and drinks for both people at the hotel lounge, café or other venue, including 3rdPlace Tokyo's portion.
② For Experience, 3rdPlace Tokyo's travel expenses are included in the service fee. The client pays admission fees, ticket costs and similar expenses, including those for 3rdPlace Tokyo. As a general rule, each person pays for their own food and drinks. Where a meal is required as part of the planned experience, the arrangements for payment will be explained in advance.
4. Extensions are available only by prior mutual agreement. The extension fee is ¥5,000 per 30 minutes.
Refunds & Advance Expenses
5. Where a refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method. For credit card payments, it may take time for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on processing by the card issuer or payment service.
6. Cancellation fees for cancellations made by the client follow the cancellation policy in Article 6. If 3rdPlace Tokyo is unable to provide the Service for reasons on our side, the service fee will normally be refunded in full.
7. Before making arrangements for an Experience that incur costs, such as tickets, admission fees or facility reservations, we will explain the amounts and cancellation and refund conditions and obtain your agreement before purchasing or booking. Any non-refundable costs will be clearly identified before purchase or booking.
8. If you cancel for your own reasons, you will generally be responsible for the actual expenses you approved in advance that are not refunded by the external provider. Refundable expenses will be settled according to the refunds actually received. Cancellation fees for the service fee follow Article 6 and are calculated separately from out-of-pocket expenses.
9. The cancellation percentage for the service fee will not also be applied to ticket costs or other out-of-pocket expenses. The same cost will not be counted twice as both a cancellation fee and an out-of-pocket expense. Our settlement statement will distinguish the service cancellation fee, out-of-pocket expenses, refunds from external providers and the refund due to you.
Article 6 — Applications and Cancellation
1. When applying for the Service, clients shall provide the following information in advance:
① Purpose of use.
② Number of participants.
③ Client's name, age and contact details.
④ Duration of use.
⑤ Start date and time.
⑥ Venue, including the meeting location.
⑦ Any other information 3rdPlace Tokyo needs to confirm the application.
2. Applications and cancellation notices shall be sent to the contact details published on the website, social media or other channels. Submitting an application form alone does not confirm a booking. A contract for the Service is formed when the client has agreed without objection to the fees and other conditions presented by 3rdPlace Tokyo, 3rdPlace Tokyo has confirmed payment, and 3rdPlace Tokyo has sent confirmation of the booking.
3. Cancellation fees are determined by when the cancellation notice is received, as follows. However, these conditions may be varied where unavoidable circumstances, such as a natural disaster or illness, arise and a separate agreement is reached.
Cancellation fees are determined by the date and time we receive your cancellation notice, using the booked service date and Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9). Each calendar-day period runs from 00:00 through 23:59. Cancellation is free until 23:59 three calendar days before the booked service date; cancellation fees apply from 00:00 two calendar days before that date.

4. If the client arrives late, the scheduled end time will generally remain unchanged, and no fee reduction or refund will be provided. If the client cannot be contacted for 30 minutes or more after the scheduled start time, the booking will be treated as a no-show and the Service will not be provided.
Article 7 — Safety
1. Clients shall not act or make requests that depart from the purpose of use communicated when applying. The first Listen session shall take place during the day in a public venue, such as a hotel lounge. Clients shall cooperate in ensuring a safe meeting and safe use of the Service.
2. The Service may be discontinued without any refund if prohibited conduct under Article 4, or the possibility of such conduct, is identified during the Service, or if the client acts or makes requests that depart from the previously communicated purpose or other application details.
Article 8 — Confidentiality
Neither party shall disclose to third parties any personal information or private matters learned during the Service, or use such information for any purpose other than the purpose of the Service.
Article 9 — Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
1. The Service does not guarantee any outcome in relation to the client's personal relationships, romantic life, work or other matters.
2. 3rdPlace Tokyo, its representative and related persons shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the client's own conduct.
3. Notwithstanding the preceding provisions, 3rdPlace Tokyo, its representative and related persons shall in no event be liable for damages in connection with the Service exceeding the amount of fees actually received.
Article 10 — Suspension or Changes to the Service
The Service may be cancelled or changed due to natural disasters, accidents, illness or other unavoidable circumstances.
Article 11 — Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be amended as necessary. Amended Terms take effect when announced on the website, social media or other channels.
Supplementary Provision
These Terms take effect on September 14, 2026.
